Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Cuyahoga County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17-year-olds who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 hours. Returning workers who have recently conducted training in-person can complete training online.

High school seniors in good academic standing are eligible and should contact their Government or Social Studies teacher to apply. Please contact Arianne Marrow at amorrow@cuyahogacounty.us or call 216-443-3256 for more information about the high school program.

All workers must attend a mandatory two-hour meeting the Monday evening before Election Day from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Bilingual English-Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.

Individuals who are comfortable using computers and tablets are strongly encouraged to apply.
