Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Nevada to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: A combination of in-person and online training is required, totaling 5 to 6 hours.

In addition to Election Day workers, Washoe County is looking to hire workers during the Early Voting period.

During Early Voting, poll workers work from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Individuals who are bilingual in English and one of the following languages are encouraged to apply: Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese.

Individuals who are comfortable with technology (iPhones and iPads) are encouraged to apply.
