Every poll worker 18 years of age or older must be a qualified elector of a precinct within the polling place boundaries in which the individual is assigned to work and must be eligible to vote at the polling place to which the individual is assigned unless the county auditor has exhausted all means to appoint workers from within the voting precinct.
The day prior to Election Day, workers help count mail-in ballots from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The county prefers workers who can commit to working both days.
