Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Brunswick County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person and online training are both required. Training typically lasts 2 to 4 hours.

Brunswick County also needs poll workers to work during Early Voting. The Early Voting period runs from from the third Thursday before an election through the Saturday before an election. Early Voting shifts last 7 to 9 hours.
