Voter Registration Requirements

  • Poll workers must be eligible to vote in Minnesota.

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school students who are county residents or residents of an adjacent county.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 hours. Poll workers must successfully complete the basic training course once every 24 months to remain qualified to serve.
