Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Notification of training sessions will be sent by mail. In-person is typically required, but occasionally online training is available, and typically lasts 1 hour. Poll workers are required to attend training at least once every two years.
