Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: A combination of in-person and online training is required. In-person and online training sessions typically lasts 1.5 hours each. At least two sessions are required, but more may be required depending on position. Poll workers are required to attend training at least once every two years.

Individuals who are comfortable using computers and tablets are strongly encouraged to apply.
