    $250 to $325 for Election Day. $50 for training if you work both the primary and general election.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be a registered voter in the city to serve as a poll worker. However, if a qualified individual residing in the city cannot be found with reasonable effort, the local board may appoint a registered voter residing in any part of the state.

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-olds who are pre-registered to vote. 14 and 15-year-olds may be Election Pages.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Poll workers must complete training both online and in-person. In-person training typically lasts 3 to 4 hours.
