Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Colorado to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school juniors/seniors who are U.S. citizens.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Training typically lasts about 2 to 4 hours and is conducted online.

In addition to Election Day workers, La Plata County is looking for Early Voting workers. Early Voting shifts are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday.  Please contact election officials, listed above, for additional information.
