Voter Registration Requirements

  • Vote center workers must be registered voters in California or be lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. and otherwise eligible to register to vote except for their lack of U.S. citizenship.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Poll workers must attend several training sessions over the course of one week. In-person training typically lasts 16 to 24 hours total.

Napa County encourages bilingual individuals to apply. There is a particular need for English-Spanish and English-Tagalog speakers. There is additional pay for vote center clerks/leads who are bilingual English-Spanish speakers.

In addition to working on Election Day, vote center clerks/leads work for 50-60 hours for three weeks before Election Day. Please contact county officials for additional information.
