Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Santa Fe County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old U.S. citizens who are county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 to 3 hours.

In addition to Election Day workers, Catron County is looking for Early Voting and post-election workers. Please contact election officials, listed above, for additional information.

Early Voting poll workers can choose to work during all of Early Voting (all 28 days proceeding the election) or during the 2 weeks (Tuesday to Saturday) before Election Day.

16 and 17-year-olds should email or call election officials (contact information listed above) if they are interested in applying.

Individuals who are comfortable using computers and tablets are strongly encouraged to apply.

Individuals who speak English and one of the following languages are encouraged to apply: Spanish, Pueblo.
