Approximately 10:00 PM (Full and part-day shifts are available. Part-day shifts typically run from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and 2:00 PM until approximately 10:00 PM.)
Compensation:
$15 per hour for Election Day and training.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school students.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Training typically lasts 2 to 3 hours and may be completed in-person or online. Chief election inspectors are required to take 6 hours of training every 2 years.

Additional Information

In most cases, poll workers must be qualified electors of the county in which they serve (i.e., adult U.S. citizens who reside in the county and are not otherwise disqualified to vote).

16 and 17-year-old student poll workers can only work at the polling place serving their residence.
