9:00 PM (Full and part-day shifts are available. Part day shifts run from 6:30 AM to 1:45 PM and 2:00 PM until approximately 9:00 PM.)
Compensation:
$10 per hour for Election Day and training.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school students.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 hours. Training is required at least once every two years. Chief election inspectors are required to take 6 hours of training every 2 years.

Additional Information

In most cases, poll workers must be qualified electors of the county in which they serve (i.e., adult U.S. citizens who reside in the county and are not otherwise disqualified to vote).

16 and 17-year-old student poll workers can only work at the polling place serving their residence.
