You must be registered to vote in Virginia to be a poll worker
Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.
Minimum Age: High school students interested in getting involved should contact their local election officials for information.
You must complete training to be a poll worker.
Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 to 4 hours. Poll workers must be trained to Commonwealth developed standards at the start of each term. They must also be updated whenever election procedures change.
Workers may be assigned to multiple precincts on Election Day.
