You must be registered to vote in Virginia to be a poll worker
Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.
Minimum Age: High school students interested in getting involved should contact their local election officials for information.
You must complete training to be a poll worker.
Training Details: In-person training typically lasts about 1 hour. Poll workers must be trained to Commonwealth developed standards at the start of each term. They must also be updated whenever election procedures change.
In addition to Election Day workers, Amherst County is looking for Early Voting and post-election workers. Please contact election officials, listed above, for additional information.
