Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Stanly County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training sessions typically last 2 hours. Multiple sessions may be required.

Poll workers are required to help set up the precinct the day before Election Day.

Early Voting poll workers must be available for the entire Early Voting period.

Poll workers must be proficient with technology, namely basic computer skills and sufficient typing speed.

Bilingual individuals are encouraged to apply, particularly English-Spanish speakers.
