    9:00 to 11:00 PM     (Full day shifts are preferred. Part-day shifts are also available. Part-day shifts run from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 1:00 PM to approximately 9:00 to 11:00 PM.)

    $13 to $15 per hour for Election Day and training.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 to 6 hours, depending on position. Poll workers are required to attend training at least once every two years.
