    $140 to $150 for Election Day. $20 for picking up or dropping off election supplies. $150 for full day in-person training. $75 for half day in-person training. $100 for full day online training. $50 for half day online training. Poll workers are only paid for training if they pass the poll worker test and if they serve on Election Day.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Delaware County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: A combination of in-person and/or online training may be required, depending on position. In-person training typically lasts 2 hours.
