You must be registered to vote in Oswego County to be a poll worker
Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.
Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students.
You must complete training to be a poll worker.
Training Details: Poll workers must complete training annually. Training lasts 1.5 to 3 hours.
If a poll worker does not serve at the precinct they are registered in, they will need to vote early or submit a “Special Ballot” to the Elections Board.
Translators are not required to be registered to vote. A limited number of untrained poll workers are hired on an as-needed basis.
