Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Ocean County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens and state residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training is required and typically lasts 3 hours. Recommended online training typically lasts 90 minutes. Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.

Poll workers are needed for Election Day and for the Early Voting period prior to Election Day.
