Compensation:
$12 per hour.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Douglas County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: A combination of in-person and online training is required. Online training typically lasts 3 hours in-person training typically lasts 4 hours.

Additional Information

Student workers will work one of two shifts: 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Early Voting workers must commit to working 6 to 8 hours daily during the Early Voting period.

Poll workers must be able to work on election days in June and November, as well as on other needed days/hours.

Individuals with basic technology skills are encouraged to apply.
