Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Salem County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens and state residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 hours. Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.

Bilingual English-Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.

Poll workers are needed for the Early Voting period October 26 to November 3 and for Election Day (Tuesday, November 5). Work hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 8:30 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Contact your county election office for details.
