Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Atkinson (Town) to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training for ballot clerks typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours. If someone cannot attend the training, they may come in an hour before their shift on Election Day for a one-on-one training, depending on position.

Poll workers must be registered to vote at the polling place where they serve.
