Compensation:
$19 to $20 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement paid at $0.67 per mile for Election Day. $19 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement paid at at $0.67 cents per mile for training.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • This jurisdiction does not have a voter registration requirement to be a poll worker

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and state residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 hours.

Additional Information

Every poll worker 18 years of age or older must be a qualified elector of a precinct within the polling place boundaries in which the individual is assigned to work and must be eligible to vote at the polling place to which the individual is assigned unless the county auditor has exhausted all means to appoint workers from within the voting precinct.
