You must be registered to vote in Yancey County to be a poll worker
Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.
Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.
You must complete training to be a poll worker.
Training Details: Training typically lasts 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Supervisory workers are required to attend multiple training sessions lasting a total of 3 to 4 hours. Poll workers must also be available the night before Election Day to set up the precinct polling location.
