    $145 to $175 for Election Day. $30 training. $40 for picking up and dropping off supplies. $10 for setting up the precinct the night before. $115 to $185 per day for Early Voting shifts on weekdays. $80 to $150 per day for Early Voting on Saturdays. $50 to $120 for Early Voting shifts on Sundays.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Harnett County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 hours.
