Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Online training typically lasts 4 hours. Some positions require an additional in-person training which lasts 1 hour. Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.
