Poll Worker Start Time:
Before the polls open at 7:00 AM
Poll Worker End Time:
After the polls close at 8:00 PM. (Full and part-day shifts are available.)
Compensation:
$16 per hour for Election Day and training.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.
