Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Multiple training sessions are required. County level training is conducted in person and lasts 2 to 3 hours. Municipal training consists of two in-person sessions which last 2 hours each. Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.
