    After the polls close at 8:00 PM.     (Full and part-day shifts are available. Part-day shifts run from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM until after the polls close at 8:00 PM.)

    $18 per hour for Election Day and training.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 hours. Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.
