Poll Worker Start Time:

Poll Worker End Time:
10:00 PM (Part-day shifts are available.)
Compensation:
$16.23 per hour for Election Day and training. $30 for a half day meal stipend. $60 for a full day meal stipend. Some positions earn a flat rate bonus of $70 to $90.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Michigan to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 to 3 hours. Poll workers must complete training at least once every two years.
