Voter Registration Requirements

Poll workers must be registered to vote and must be residents of the municipality or the county in which they serve. Municipal residence is preferred, but county residence is permitted.

Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.
Work Requirements

Minimum Age: 16-year-old county residents who are conditionally registered to vote.

You must complete training to be a poll worker.

Training Details: Poll workers must attend a refresher training prior to each election, which typically lasts about 1 to 2 hours. Election officials will also send updated elections information between elections and prior to training.
