Voter Registration Requirements

Poll workers must be registered to vote and must be residents of the municipality or the county in which they serve. Municipal residence is preferred, but county residence is permitted.

Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Minimum Age: 16-year-old county residents who are conditionally registered to vote.

You must complete training to be a poll worker.

Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 hours. Poll workers must attend paid training at least once a year. Training is usually offered once in odd numbered years and twice in even numbered years.
