Poll Worker Start Time:
6:00 AM
Poll Worker End Time:
8:00 PM (Part-day shifts are available. Shifts run from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM or from 1:00 PM to approximately 8:00 PM.)
Compensation:
$125 for full day workers. $56 for half-day workers. $8 per hour for training. Supervisory workers are also reimbursed mileage.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Shawnee County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-olds who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Training typically lasts 3 hours.
