    $250 to $315 for Election Day and Early Voting Days. $25 per hour for training. $50 for alternate workers who are trained but not called to work an election. If an alternate is called for an election they are paid the regular poll worker rate.

Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be a registered voter in the county to serve as a poll worker. However, if a qualified individual residing in the county cannot be found with reasonable effort, the local board may appoint a registered voter residing in any part of the state.

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-olds who are pre-registered to vote. 14 and 15-year-olds may be Election Pages.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 hours.
