Voter Registration Requirements

  • You must be registered to vote in Cabarrus County to be a poll worker

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 17-year-old high school students who are U.S. citizens and county residents.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: Training is required prior to each election and varies by role and level of experience. Training is held in-person and lasts approximately 2 hours.

Individuals who are comfortable using computers and tablets are strongly encouraged to apply.

Poll workers are required to help set up the precinct the day before Election Day.
