Voter Registration Requirements

  • Poll workers over the age of 18 must either be registered voters in California or be lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. and otherwise eligible to register to vote except for their lack of U.S. citizenship.

  • Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.

Work Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 16-year-old students who are U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted for U.S. permanent residence.

  • You must complete training to be a poll worker.

  • Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 2 to 3 hours.

In addition to Election Day workers, Amador County is looking for Early Voting, vote center workers. Vote center working hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Vote center work is for five total days: Election Day and the four days prior. Please contact election officials, listed above, for additional information.
