You must be registered to vote in Virginia to be a poll worker
Note: This voter registration requirement does not apply to poll workers under the age of 18.
Minimum Age: High school students interested in getting involved should contact their local election officials for information.
You must complete training to be a poll worker.
Training Details: In-person training typically lasts 3 to 4 hours. Poll workers are certified for three year terms. Training is required at least once per three year term and will be updated upon the institution of new voting laws.
Workers may be assigned to multiple precincts on Election Day.
